Welcome to Kennel Mia in Norway. My name is Anne-Mari Haugsten, and I am a Lhasa Apso breeder and exhibitor. I am also a licensed judge.

I got my first Lhasa Apso in 1979, and in 1983 I imported from England –

Nordic/Fin/UCH. Winner 84 HARDACRE PHANNY (whelped 29th December 81) 
(Sire: GB CH. Saxonsprings Florence of Hardacre - Dam: Hardacre Kassis Kid)

Phanny had her first litter in 1985 to Ch. TINTAVON BARYSHNIKOV, and I kept a male -
Int/Nord/Fin/UCH. Winner 1987/Norwegian Winner 91 MIA’S PHRESCOTT ("Scotty").

In 1986 I bought a male from Frances Sefton (Kennel Cheska, Australia) – Nordic UCH.  CHESKA CHANDIGARH (Chandi). I mated Phanny with Chandi and got 4 puppies (born 13.03.88). Three of them were champions. I kept a bitch - Int/Norw/Sved/UCH. MIA’S PHEMROSE "Top winning Lhasa in Norway 1989".

Her litter brother – Int/Norw/Swed/UCH. MIA’S PHETE CHABLIS "Top Winning Lhasa in Norway 1991" and the 3rd one was a Norwegian Champion.

Ch. MIA’S PHEMROSE and CH. MIA’S PHILADELPHIA (litter sister) were mated with Int/UCH. SAXONSPRINGS FOL-DE-ROL (Hackensack-Fresno) and I kept:

My latest Lhasa "star" is Norw. CH. MIA`S KALAN-CHOÈ (pictured right). He currently shares my home with my newest breed, a Dandie Dinmont Terrier - International Nordic Champion NW-05,06, Nordic W-06 FAIRMAC ELYSEE THE CHANCE, born 14.11.04. 

"Thelma" is the Top Winning Dandie in Norway and went BEST IN SHOW at the Dandie Specialty Show in Sweden in 2006!
